Me at a BBQ in 2011 (like my hat?)
My name is Clive Handy and I am a retired aircraft engineer having worked for the Royal Air Force, then British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) before retiring/stopping work in 2010. I have always been interested in writing and have kept diaries and written stories since I was young. I hope you find something of interest in the blog, which includes my personal thoughts on a wide range of subjects, as well as my personal experiences.
Of special note is my Olympic Games experience as a volunteer Games Maker in July and August 2012, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I chronicled my time at Excel in East London. I volunteered for the RWC (Rugby World Cup) 2015 taking place in England. Then I volunteered for the Cricket World Cup in 2019 in England. I get getting offers to volunteer at other events but I’m biding my time before I commit myself.
Please feel free to make any comments about the blog at the bottom of each piece.
Warning: This blog contains my own opinions, and do not represent any group. If anyone takes objection to my views I’m sorry but they are mine. Let me know if you disagree with me.

Hi Mike, I get the occasional email from Colin which I reply to but he doesn’t respond. My email address is known to him (cant put it in this reply). Do you know what he wants?
Hi Clive Love your website. I found it whilst searching for your home address (which I had but lost). Can you email it to me please? Great to see news of you and family. I am off to Scottish Borders to visit son Jonathan for Xmas. Hope you have a good one & thanks for your Card. Love to Fran Shelly (ex Tongham) xxx
